Hornets Nesting Under the Eaves

August 2025 — Mosier, Oregon
In August, we helped a homeowner in Mosier with a hornet nest that had formed under the eave above their back deck. It’s a common spot for hornets this time of year since the overhang gives them protection and puts them close to an area people use every day.
What started as a little extra activity around the deck turned out to be a nest tucked up under the roofline. With people coming and going through the space, it was not something they wanted to leave alone.
We were able to address the nest, solve the problem, and make the deck usable again. This is a pretty typical late-summer issue in the Gorge, especially around decks, sheds, and other protected exterior areas.
